If a friend gave you a gift, you wouldn't trade it, would you?

So... I've sorta been neglecting the blog.
I tried to post, really did, but I never finished them.
And I didn't think the drafts I were making were even worth posting anyway.
But now, I have something I need some opinion on.
Alright, I guess I should start...
Yesterday in the morning I got on, played for a while, went to Whatwhat550's trading party. I made some new buddies. Later on, I headed to my den and I got a message. It was from Xxnovastar. She asked if I had any freedom gloves, I replied with a yes. And then I headed over to her den and she immanently asked me what for my glove. After she offered me some over trades (ex: fox hat) I decided to give it to her as a friendship gift, so I told her I'd give it to her if she traded me a pillow. She did the trade and I accepted. She thanked me over and over again. She told me she'd pay me back, I believe I told her she didn't have to (since I thought it was a friendship gift).
Eventfully we both left, I went to my friend's den and talked, then (I think?) I went to Xxnovastar's den. I noticed she had completely changed her penguin (we were both penguins). She now was purple/white with a purple mech helmet and a light gray/white shark fin. She said she would pay me back... Hmm, maybe when she gets rarer she could give me a spike, or that mech helmet... I thought to my self. Then she said "brb" and went to the Summer Carnival. I waited around for a while then followed her. She asked me if the helmet was buyable, I told her no. Then she told me she traded my glove for the mech helmet, then she asked me if I wanted any BETA Adventure items for the glove.
I declined.
I don't remember much, but I do remember me leaving.
I kinda cried after that, it was silent but it still happened.
